When We crave authentic Taiwanese breakfast we come here for the savory soybean milk and ask for chili oil, vinegar and dash of soy. We had lunch once or twice. Stinky tofu is better than most places but still not as stinky as traditional Taiwan night market. They're not the cleanest but which Asian restaurant is but staff is nice and friendly. We ordered: Scallion pancake with egg or beef Savory soybean milk Sweet soy bean milk Fried culler Stinky tofu Radish and taro sou bing pastry (so so) Cold beef tendon in chili oil appetizer Pot sticker Dumplings Shredded beef with green hot peppers Shredded pork with bean curd (so so) Salt and pepper fried fish

I can't speak about the service or ambiance because my boyfriend brought this order to-go, but the food was great. The Deep Fried Cruller is the perfect combination of chewy and crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. It wasn't too oily. I was told they made the order fresh on the spot. The Green Onion Sou Bing was soft, great when sandwiching a Deep Fried Cruller. The Beef Stew Noodle Soup had my ideal thickness in noodles. Because the order was taken to-go, the noodles were a soggy and soft, but I bet that wouldn't have been the case if we'd eaten it in the store. The soup is a little bit spicy, not overly spicy. Most cuts of the meat were tender, and they were generous with the meat. Only 1-2 chunks of meat were a bit tough. The Green Onion Pancake Rolled with Beef had the perfect cuts of beef, and the pancake wasn't too oily either.

The food is always delicious here. This time I found out they have the traditional hot pot style food that I haven't try before. It's perfect for winter!

My favorite taiwanese spot in queens. Probably the best in NYC. Of course you must try the pork chop over rica. Do not forget about the stinky tofu. The beef noodles is also great.

THE best taiwanese food I have had in the US at a restaurant. Everything is cooked so well and comes out super fast. The family style dishes and sets are highly recommended. The owners are super friendly and parking is easy to find.

One of the most authentic Taiwanese restaurants in New York. We frequently visit this establishment and have tried almost every item on the menu. Here are the go to items: BREAKFAST / APPETIZERS 1. Sweet tofu puddling. The tofu is extremely soft and made fresh. This is only available on weekends. If you arrive after 11:30am, the tofu will most likely be sold out. So get there early!! 2. Sweet or salty soybean milk. Very authentic and made fresh. Also a weekend only items. However this item may be available after 11:30am ;-) 3. Sweet or salty rice roll. Also made fresh and available only on weekends. Tastes like ones from Taiwan. It's a must have breakfast item. These also sell out by noon. 4. Stinky tofu. Super authentic and tasty. Highly recommend you order it. 5. Spicy beef pancakes. A bit high on MSG / salt... but it's super tasty. The spice is just right if you can handle spicy. 6. Popcorn chicken. It's super flavorful and tasty. Eat it while it's hot!! LUNCH / DINNER 1. Taiwanese pork chop over rice. The pork chop is tender and filled with spices. The aged egg is super tasty. They are also very generous with their servings; guaranteed to fill you up!! 2. Beef noodle soup. The soup is very flavorful and boiled for multiple hours if not days. You're guaranteed to slurp your noodles with the soup. It's the ideal meal for the winter. 3. Casseroles, hot and sour soup, all the family meal items... All of them are great!! Realistically, all items on this restaurant are great EXCEPT FOR: soup dumplings (xiao long bao). They should really remove it from their menu. The soup dumplings are extremely dried. The skin of the dumplings are hard as it taste like it's made out of hard dough. Serving this dish ruins their brand and reputation. Price is fair. Service is excellent. Staff is very friendly. Minor downside is the staff is not too fluent in English. Most important of all, the restaurant is SUPER CLEAN. You can tell how clean the restaurant is by visiting their restroom(s). Nan Bei Ho's restroom is so clean that you can eat off the floor. Enough said. Give this place a try.

Nothing like noodles in the AM! Spicy beef noodle soup is aromatic and soothes the soul- pretty mild for "spicy" Scallion pancakes were fresh hot with a HUGE serving size Don't miss their homemade soymilk! Service is super speedy; was no problem getting a table on Saturday morning

Just the absolute most comforting Taiwanese food. I grew up eating this on Sundays when my dad would have his day off and bring home takeout containers. We would share and eat as a family at our kitchen table. Pure nostalgia. I highly recommend their Open-mouth Pork Dumplings, Beef Scallion Pancake, Sticky Rice Rolls (fan tuan), and homemade Soy Milk. The dumplings are steamed and pan fried, so you have that lovely balance of a crispy bottom and a tender dumpling wrapper enveloping a savory, juicy pork filling. They also give you a sauce that pairs so nicely with the pork. The scallion pancakes are rolled with slices of beef, scallions, and hoisin sauce. It's warm, buttery, and both sweet (from hoisin) and savory. Pure bliss. The sticky rice rolls, filled with Chinese crueler, pickled vegetables, and dried pork (yuk sung), are so addictive with all the different textures and flavors. Overall, this place has a special place in my heart and their food has always been consistent over the years. Highly recommend!

Family owned restaurant that I have been eating at for over 20 years. They had different locations in flushing and then in Bayside. Food is authentic and delicious, and you can't beat it. One of our favorite places.
